Very high quality sushi, so much better than the other sushi you'll find around here. It has a comfortable atmosphere and great location close to the ocean to go out with friends. Servers are sweet and helpful.

We go to San Clemente a few times per year and this place is always on our hit list. For the first time, we ate at the restaurant with the kids and we loved how relaxed and casual it felt. They have a pineapple habanero sauce that my husband loved so much that he bought a bottle of it. The poke nachos here are simply my favorite. I love the addition of crab meat and nori. Their clam chowder is worth it and my husband loves to swing by for the happy hour oysters. This is a counter service restaurant, you just take your number to the table and they bring your food out.

If you're looking for high end sushi, there are better options in my opinion. However, why they're a five star is they are a great price to quality ratio. Sushi isn't cheap but this place hits the perfect spot where you don't feel like you're going to take out a loan to get some quality fish. The staff is also very nice and friendly. I really like the Superman roll when I'm trying to keep my carbs down and if I can't decide then the bento box has a little bit of everything. My favorite is the sweet shrimp as they also deep fry the head and I love the crunch. They're also great with takeout which was our saving grace during the peak of Covid and we had limited options.

Food: 4. Came by for a Saturday lunch just after they opened. Place was mostly empty at the time. When we left, it was under half full. Menu is relatively small with basic common Japanese offerings. We ordered some nigiri, Sushi Sampler, and the Unagi Don. Their nigiri ootions were not on their main menu but a sheet that you mark your selections. Strange that only the Unagi Don had no price on their menu. It was $19. Food came out timely and looked appealing. My unagi was good and the portion was big. I should have asked for the Unagi to be cooked longer so the edges/skin was slightly crispy. The other people in my party said the sushi and sashimi was good and tasted fresh. Ambiance was comfortable and basic. This is a small place with no outside seating. Service was good but our server had to ask others for most of the questions we asked.

Yum! Fresh sushi, made right. The place wasn't busy on a Monday night and had good service and ambiance. Every roll we tried was delicious! The scallop roll was loaded with scaland super satisfying.

Really enjoyed eating here with my family who was visiting! There wasn't a wait and had parking in the back. Service was good as they kept checking in on us and made sure our night was going well. The quality of the fish was fresh and cuts were pretty and nice. My favorite was the ebi nigiri. Tried this Japanese beer I've never had before and it was an interesting flavor. I didn't try any of the rolls but I will try them next time I go.

A raving 5-star review for the San Clemente Sushi Company. I recently dined here during a visit to San Clemente for a wedding. The restaurant had a number of seats available on a Saturday night, so our party was able to get quickly seated. I ordered my usual, a baked salmon roll with eel sauce, garlic edamame, and snuck bites from the plates of others. I was impressed by the quality of each dish and the freshness of their sushi. SC Sushi Company also serves up an incredible bento box. I was able to sample their Chicken Katsu bento, which came with miso soup, crispy chicken katsu, gyoza, and tempura veggies. This dish was a 10/10 and could easily be shared between two people. Highly recommend checking this spot out the next time you're in the area!
